Originally from western Pennsylvania, Saylor is attending Indiana University in Bloomington, where she is pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in costume design. She completed her bachelor's degree at Frostburg State University in western Maryland where she studied theatrical design and technology.
Most recently, Saylor placed third in the 2020 SETC costume design competition with her design of Little Shop of Horrors. She was also recognized by the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival with a Certificate of Merit for her costume design for Around the World in 80 Days in 2016. During her time at Frostburg, she received the Amigos de Garcia scholarship through FSU alumni and producer and director Greg Garcia for several of her costume designs. Rachel enjoys collecting enamel pins, illustrating creepy children's stories, and knitting with her cats. |
